Venice Film Festival

The Venice International Film Festival is the film festival that takes place annually in Venice in the historic Palazzo del Cinema at Venice Lido. It is the oldest film festival in the world. The main prize is being awarded the Golden Lion, which is considered one of the most important from the point of view of the film critics, like those awarded in the other two main European film festivals, the Palme d'Or at Cannes and the golden Bear at the Berlin International Film Festival.
